Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed
By Jared Diamond
see relatedJuan
written for Juan G.
his hands:
raise a child
craft a story
pull me closer
push me backhis smile:
an ivory gate
protecting
the soft center
of stone secretshis words:
have such strength.
rhetorical reps, syllable sets
my mind aches
with recollection
my attempts:
to hold his hands
that pray and punish
to see his teeth
bared and brightquestions between us:
hide like scared children.
Only our souls
speak
the same language

sometimes it is best that way. . . nice to read your words, again, Saadia.
Perfect.
Flawlessly beautiful
is Juan your trainer? great work!
NIcely done.
oh, honey, what a treat. I love your words so much and have missed them. Telling you not to make you feel guilty, just to let you know. Hugs to you and hope you are doing well.

You're the only reason I ever come back to Xangaland.
I love being with someone who's soul speaks the same language. Words suddenly have so much more meaning. Or, sometimes words get in the way.
Being that I'm all about words, that's a hard thing to say. But true.
"Ditto" to all the above remarks....and the question too.
